Fundraising & Volunteer Updates

As we look forward to another wonderful season of skating, we want to thank each of you for the support you’ve given our skaters and our club. Diamond Edge thrives because of the time, energy, and generosity of our families. Over the past few years, we’ve noticed that participation in fundraising and volunteering has been dropping. At the same time, our costs for ice time, coaching, and events continue to rise. To keep our programs affordable and sustainable for all families, the board has decided to set clear fundraising and volunteer expectations starting winter season.

We know every family’s schedule looks different—that’s why we’ve built in flexible opportunities and buyout options. Thank you for being such an important part of Diamond Edge. We are excited for another season filled with growth, memories, and skating success!

With appreciation,

Diamond Edge Figure Skating Club Board

Fundraising:

Each family is asked to participate in the Harry’s Pizza Fundraiser and December's raffle ticket sales.

Families may also choose a buyout option of $300 at registration if participation in fundraising isn’t the best fit.

Volunteering:

To keep events running smoothly, each family is asked to volunteer based on their skater’s level at the beginning of winter season:

SS1–Basic 1 & first-year families → 5 hours

Basic 2–Basic 4 → 10 hours

Basic 5 - Freeskate 1 → 20 hours

Freeskate 2 and above → 30 hours

Families who are unable to complete all hours will have the option of a buyout at $20/hour, billed at the beginning of the season.
