Beth Fischer

Skate Director

Beth Fischer is Diamond Edge Figure Skating Club’s passionate Skate Director. She has held many roles within our club from parent of a skater to Board Member to Skate Director. She organizes competitions, mentors skaters, and ensures the sport is enjoyable for members of the community. With a commitment to excellence, Beth has made a significant impact on the figure skating club. You will always see her friendly face at the side boards or in the hockey box. She is a great resource for questions regarding the club.

Interested in Coaching?

We invite energetic and committed individuals to apply for Learn to Skate USA Instructor positions. Responsibilities include teaching the fundamentals of ice-skating in group and one-on-one settings to all ages and ability levels.

Instructors must follow guidelines and compliance standards set by Learn to Skate USA including:

  • Learn to Skate USA Instructor Membership

  • Background Check (18 years and older)

  • Completion of SafeSport Training (18 years and older)

  • Concussion Training

  • Instructor Certification Course and Exam

Additional opportunities and requirements are available for U.S. Figure Skating Coaches including PSA Membership, continuing education requirements (CER’s) and proof of liability insurance.

Diamond Edge Figure Skating Club is currently looking for the following positions and minimum expectations:

Skating Instructor

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Must be an active member of Diamond Edge Figure Skating Club

  • Must have passed Freeskate 1 or equivalent

  • Must have been a Skating Assistant with DEFSC for at least one year.

  • Must be reliable and responsible

Student Instructor

  • Must be at least 14 years of age

  • Must be an active member of Diamond Edge Figure Skating Club

  • Must have passed Freeskate 1 or equivalent

  • Must have been a Skating Assistant with DEFSC for at least one year.

  • Must be reliable and responsible

Skating Assistant

  • Must be 13 years of age

  • Must be Pre-Freeskate or above

  • Must be reliable and responsible

Lead Figure Skating Coach

  • USFS & PSA Member

  • Passed Juvenile Skating Skills & Freeskate or higher

  • Five years experience coaching in group and private lessons.

  • Hours Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings
